> 📝 Use this dashboard to monitor your Boomi processes. It is intended as a superior version of Process Reporting in the Boomi console. You will still need to visit Process Reporting if you want to download an execution log.

# 1 Monitoring Status

Start with this section to ensure that monitoring is up and running, and that your Boomi runtimes are online.

1. `AtomWatch Running?` Shows in green the number of servers (nodes) where AtomWatch is running successfully, and red where running in an error state. Any red numbers are a bad sign and must be investigated. Users must be aware of the expected number of servers (nodes) and must mentally compare this widget to that number, taking action if the number is higher or lower than expected.
2. `Boomi Running?` Shows in green the number of monitored servers (nodes) where the Boomi service or daemon is running. If the Boomi service/daemon is running, it is most likely executing processes, whether the Boomi datacenter shows the runtime as online or not.
3. `AtomWatch Config OK?` Shows in green the number of servers (nodes) where the AtomWatch is running AND configured properly. Instructions for configuring AtomWatch are on the [README page](#).
4. `Queried Executions?` This number must be green and equal to one. It shows the number of servers (nodes) that have successfully made an API call to the Boomi Platform to query your Boomi execution records. Only one server (node) should be configured to make these API calls. If the number is more than one, remote into each of your servers (nodes) and check your AtomWatch Datadog `config.yaml` file. Only one server (node) must have the "`boomi_api_url`" config value uncommented. Complete instructions for configuring AtomWatch are on the [README page](#).
5. `Found Executions?` This number must be green and equal to one if there are any executions occurring in the dashboard’s timeframe.
6. `Runtime Online Status` This widget shows which Boomi runtimes are reported as online (i.e., those whose “heartbeat” was detected by the Boomi datacenter). The widget will show all runtimes in the monitored Boomi account. You will likely want to skip monitoring some runtimes (personal and non-production Atoms). To do this, modify the `AtomWatch: Runtime Online Status` monitor in the Datadog console to make it exclude each unwanted runtime:

> ✅ **TIPS**
> ✅
> ✅ - For widgets 1 through 5 above, click to drilldown and see which servers (nodes) are reported. You will see a list of boomi-hostnames, as in the example below:
> ✅

# 2 Enhanced Process Reporting

This section supersedes Process Reporting on the Boomi Console. You can search for executions beyond Boomi’s 30-day limit. See your Datadog log retention settings to choose how long to retain these execution records.

*Note: You will still need to visit the Boomi Console’s Process Reporting page if you want to inspect processed documents or execution logs.*

> ✅ #### **TIPS**
> ✅
> ✅ - Use the dashboard filters to filter by Boomi process name, Atom (runtime) name, execution status, or error message.
> ✅ Scroll to the right or view the widget in fullscreen to see error message and node ID:
> ✅ Click on an execution to drill down to details:

# 3 Top Boomi Errors

This section will show errors occurring in your Boomi processes.

Any process that errors out in Process Reporting (“red dot error”) shows up here by name, with a count of how many executions have errored out in the dashboard’s timeframe.
2. Any process that errors out (“red dot error”) shows up here by name, with a count of errored documents in the dashboard’s timeframe.
3. Chart showing how many executions have errored out (“red dot error”)
4. This widget lists both failed Boomi executions (“red dot error”) and Notify errors WITHIN Boomi executions (“green dot error”).

> ✅ #### **TIPS**
> ✅
> ✅ - Hover over the bars in the chart to see Process Name:
> ✅ Click on the rows in widget #4 above to see full error details:

# 4 Boomi Process Performance

This section lets you see processes that are taking longer than usual or handling abnormal workloads.

`Long-Running Processes in Progress` If a process is running longer than 10 minutes, the process name is shown here in RED. The duration of the in-process execution is shown to the left of the process names. Other long-running processes are shown in BLUE if the duration is below 10 minutes.
2. `Boomi Process Document Counts` This graph shows trends in your document counts.
3. `Execution Duration Anomaly` (*requires additional setup; see **[instructions](https://atomwatch.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CS/pages/11108366/Installation+and+Setup#Execution-Duration-Anomaly-Widget)**)* This chart shows if a process took longer or shorter than expected, using Datadog's anomaly detection with weekly seasonality. The grey bands show the expected range of execution duration. When a process takes longer than expected, the line rises above the grey band and turns red. This chart may become cluttered if you have many processes with very different execution durations. If so, please copy and modify the `Execution Duration Anomaly` monitor in the Datadog console, making as many separate copies as needed and allowing each copy to monitor specific Boomi processes. Then add more widgets to your dashboard, each widget pointing to a separate Execution Duration Anomaly monitor.
4. `Boomi Process Execution Time (sec.)` This graph shows trends in your execution durations.
5. `Total Docs per Minute` This graph reveals trends and outliers in the efficiency (throughput) of your Boomi processes.

> ✅ #### **TIPS**
> ✅
> ✅ - Duplicate the `Long-Running Processes in Progress` widget to create multiple copies. Modify each copy to monitor a specific Boomi process with a specific time duration threshold.
> ✅ - Uncheck boxes as needed on each graph so that the display becomes less cluttered.

# 5 Change and Audit Trail

This section shows a subset of your Boomi Audit Log entries. You can modify the widget query to include Audit Log types of interest. [See Boomi’s documentation on Audit Log Types](https://help.boomi.com/bundle/developer_apis/page/r-atm-Audit_log_query_construction.html).
